The Sofar ME3000SP is connected directly to the house's electrical system via a spare 16A circuit breaker. The included current clamps are installed before the electricity meter. The device automatically detects excess power from the PV system and uses it to charge the battery. If the house's consumption exceeds the PV system's output, power is drawn from the battery. The device regulates itself to zero feed-in or zero consumption whenever technically possible. One of the current clamps can be used to measure the inverter's output power.
