Using solar power directly for hot water preparation

This set is perfect if you want to use your solar power exclusively for hot water production. The solar power is transferred directly to the heating element and converted into heat there immediately and without loss.

No connection to the power grid is required for operation, as the device is powered solely by photovoltaics, i.e., it operates purely off-grid.

Hot water, even when the sun isn't shining

With the hot water backup system, you can generate hot water even in bad weather. The device is plugged into a wall socket and checks in the afternoon whether the desired temperature has been reached. If not, it uses electricity from the public grid to reheat the water. This makes it possible to completely switch off the conventional heating system in the summer, thus extending its lifespan.

There is no grid feed-in under any circumstances. Therefore, no metering point is required, unlike with a grid-connected photovoltaic system.

The heating element of the MYPV ELWA hot water preparation unit is installed in the existing hot water storage tank. If no hot water storage tank is present, Optional is TESY 200L hot water storage tank can be added via the selection menu.

The set includes two 10-meter MC4 cables for connecting the solar panels to the water heater. If the distance between your panels is greater, please order suitable extension cables.
