The Marstek Smart Meter CT001 is the perfect addition to your balcony power plant with storage.

At PVundSO, you'll find the Marstek Smart Meter CT001, an intelligent addition to your solar system with battery storage. This compact meter records your household's electricity consumption in real time across all three phases and transmits this data to your Marstek storage system via Wi-Fi. This communication allows the storage system to automatically adjust its output to the current demand and prevents unwanted grid feed-in.

The Marstek Smart Meter is compatible with all storage tanks in the Marstek series and is suitable for the B2500 as well as the Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn models. Measuring just 140 x 89 x 17 mm and weighing only 0,5 kg, the device takes up minimal space in the meter cabinet. It is powered via a 5V Type-C connector, eliminating the need for a separate mains connection. The package includes three current transformers for measuring all phases, a Type-C cable, an adapter, and installation instructions.

Reliable self-consumption control with the Marstek Smart Meter

With the Marstek Smart Meter, you maximize the self-consumption of your self-generated solar power. During the day, your balcony power plant charges the storage unit with excess energy. As soon as the sun sets or clouds shade the modules, the storage unit delivers precisely the power your appliances require. Without the Smart Meter, the storage unit would feed in a fixed output, and excess energy would flow into the grid.

The wireless connection between the Marstek Smart Meter CT001 and the energy storage system works via your home's 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi network. After initial setup using the Marstek app, the storage system automatically detects the meter and begins intelligent power management. The app displays your current consumption, battery discharge, and historical data at any time, allowing you to analyze your energy flows. It is available for smartphones running Android 6.0 or iOS 12.0 and higher.

Easy installation and connection to the Wi-Fi network

The Marstek Smart Meter can be installed in just a few steps, even without prior electrical experience. The three current transformers are attached to the phase wires in the meter cabinet using cable ties and connected to the corresponding CT terminals on the device. For installation in the distribution board, the manufacturer recommends hiring a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Setting up the Wi-Fi connection is done via the Marstek app using Bluetooth. The device only supports 2,4 GHz networks, which you should keep in mind during configuration. A status LED on the Marstek Smart Meter CT001 indicates the connection status and makes troubleshooting connection problems easier. The reset button allows you to restore the device to factory settings if needed. After successful setup, the system operates fully automatically and requires no further intervention.
