What does "off-grid" mean?

An off-grid system generates and stores electricity completely independently, without a connection to the public power grid. This makes you independent of your energy supplier and protects you from power outages. Important: This inverter does not feed any electricity into the public grid.

How many solar panels do I need?

This depends on your individual electricity consumption. You can choose between 2, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, or 16 modules. As a rough guide: An average household of 3–4 people can manage well with 8–12 modules. We would be happy to advise you personally if needed.

What is the difference between Black Frame and Full Black modules?

With Black Frame modules, the frame is black, while the back remains white. Full Black modules, on the other hand, are completely black – frame, cells, and back. The difference is purely visual; both versions deliver the same performance and quality. Full Black is particularly suitable for a uniform, high-quality appearance on the roof.

How long will the battery storage (5 kWh) last?

That depends on consumption. An average household uses about 10–15 kWh per day. Depending on consumption, the AXE 5 kWh storage system can therefore cover an evening to a night. Those who want more independence can expand the storage capacity at any time with additional modules up to a maximum of 50 kWh.

Can I expand the battery storage later?

Yes. The Growatt AXE storage system has a modular design and can be easily expanded with additional modules – from 5 kWh up to 50 kWh, without any complex modifications.

Does the system also work on cloudy days or in winter?

Yes. Thanks to TOPCon N-type technology, the Astronergy ASTRO N7s modules operate efficiently even in diffuse light and at low temperatures. A temperature coefficient of only -0,29%/°C ensures that performance hardly decreases even in cold conditions.

Can I also connect the system to the power grid?

Yes. The Growatt SPF 6000ES Plus has an AC input and can be connected to the mains as a backup power source if needed. If the battery is empty and solar power is insufficient, the device automatically switches to mains power.

How is the system monitored?

The Growatt SPF 6000ES Plus is equipped with a Wi-Fi dongle. Using the free Growatt Shine app for iOS and Android, you can conveniently monitor and control your system from your smartphone at any time.

Is the system also suitable for people without electrical knowledge?

The components are designed for easy installation. However, we strongly recommend having the electrical installation carried out by a qualified electrician or solar installer. This is also legally required in most countries.

Yes. The Growatt SPF 6000ES Plus supports the parallel operation of up to 6 units. This allows you to scale the total output up to 36 kW – ideal for larger buildings or increased energy demands.
