Battery Disposal Instructions
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can return batteries free of charge to the point of sale or in its immediate vicinity (e.g., at municipal collection points or retailers). You can also return batteries to us by mail with sufficient postage or drop them off free of charge at our branch.

2. Meaning of the symbols
Batteries or rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash can. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. Near the trash can symbol is the chemical symbol for the hazardous substance. Cd stands for cadmium, Pb for lead, and Hg for mercury.

The Battery Act (BattG) requires manufacturers and distributors of industrial batteries, as well as their authorized representatives, to publish data on the recycling rates achieved in the previous year for waste industrial batteries on their website. (See Section 15 Paragraph 3 Sentence 3 BattG).
